YAY! Husband just told me we can get another kitty!!
Not to sound like I have to get husband's 'permission'; but he was adamant when we lost our other kitties over the past few years that we should reduce the number..and he was right. I've enjoyed just having the one since last October; but she's extremely playful and needs a playmate. I had recognized this a couple weeks ago, but realized I was going to have to wait for him to understand this and bring it up. He did, just a little while ago. I'm so thrilled! Although I have to ask the shelter if we can adopt because we surrendered one kitty about five years ago during our new baby and move (and death of my mother; all within a three month time frame..couldn't handle more than the two kitties we brought with). The online application says something about not being able to adopt if one has surrendered in past years, but no time frame is given. We got the kitty I have now from Craigslist.

So I'm going to go by the shelter tomorrow and ask if we're eligible to adopt..I really hope so. If not, I'll try to find a Craigslist one that needs a good home (don't they all?). Wish me luck! Oh, and any advice about kitty companionship? Introducing? The one I have is a black short hair female, very loving and very playful. She has encountered another cat before, and immed. began to try and play with him.

2. Yay for kitty. I will be adopting another cat after I finish my moving process.
It will probably be a rescue or a feral, though.

Good luck finding your new kitty.
