On the Trojan thread theme - true story from jr. high - 1976 or so. Homecoming game
Our jr. high band was invited to play with the high school band for the local high school's homecoming game. They were the Trojans (Gaithersburg, MD) and were playing against the Seneca Valley Eagles (near there). These schools were major rivals and our jr. high fed both.

As they were crowning the homecoming queen, a group of guys from Seneca Valley ran across the field with a huge banner that read, "The only GOOD Trojan is a USED Trojan". The homecoming queen burst into tears and a mob of guys from Gaithersburg chased the Seneca Valley guys back to the stands. Higgledy-piggledy is the only way to describe what followed.
