Fess Up: Is the Snuggie on your x-mas list?
Either as a give or a receive?

All the adults in the family decided to do a Snuggie exchange this year (saving our budget for the kids). Then we're going to take a family portrait in 'em.

The people on those infomercials are just too freaky & happy.

That said, I got the warmer one from Ulta (with a really big coupon discount).

Anything that has the stupid "As Seen on TV" thing on the box is automatically off of the shopping list.

26. Some of those "As Seen onTV" products are actually good stuff
OxiClean, for starters. Can't beat it for red wine stains, among other things. Mighty Putty and Mighty Mend It are worthy products, although not quite as strong as claimed. And, I'm a big fan of Shamwows. I sweat more than anyone you ever met. I used the small ones as sweat mops while spending a South Carolina summer working in a swamp. They worked fairly well. I used to wrap a 1 L bottle of frozen water in a large Shamwow. That sat in a hot truck all day. Eight hours later, there was still a chunk of ice in the bottle. Thanks to the Shamwow, I not only had cold water waiting for me, I had a nice, cool towel with which to dry off before I put on a dry t-shirt. They sop up liquids AND are great insulation. I love 'em!

14. Right next to the Salad shooter, Chia Pet, Clapper,Sham Wow,
and a myriad of other shop-TV trash. I don't know which is worse, the commercials or the voices of the people doing the pitch.

I think the one that has me saying, No S--T Sherlock is the stair elevator. Some old geezer profoundly states that buying one is definitely cheaper than moving. Duh.

(I'm an old geezer and if I said that in relation to the stair gizmo, I hope they push me off a cliff.
In this case, I'll be neither a sender or a receiver. Hate to own any of it and too embarrassed to give any either.

I might get a replacement to my jacket-shirt that's wearing thin in the elbows, but I've got enough blankets, thick socks and that lined jacket-shirt to keep me plenty warm without some fad-item ;)

23. That is Gift #1 on my nine-year-old daughter's wish list.
Seriously, she can't wait to get a Snuggie. It just cracks me up. We already bought her one, and today she was begging me to take her to the drug store so she could buy one. I said: "Would you please just wait until Xmas?"

33. I'm a small woman so I thought they'd be too big for me, but then
I realized that the kids size would fit me. I was mentioning that to my boyfriend one of the times we were joking about the snuggie--now I have a feeling he might get me one for Christmas.

that it's become such an object of ridicule. I knew they were silly, but warmth seemed more important back in the day.

40. No....the point of bundling up on the couch under a blanket is so my hands are
specifically NOT exposed to the cold. The snuggie has big hand hole sleeves in it which I'm guessing is letting at least some coldness in. I want a freakin' full blanket so that I can be appropriately bundled. If I need to change the channel, I'll stick my hand out and do it, and then get back under.
