2. Other: Caligula, Blood Sucking Freaks or The Exorcist.
All are far more entertaining than those chick flicks.

14. I did not like Gosford Park
Bored me to tears, it did. I'll stick with low-brow, gross-out humor and odd films from Japan.

But yes, it did have some great performances.

Next time it'll be Lost in Translation.

11. Onmyoji (Traditional Japanese fantasy story)
Well worth a view. Easily the best movie I saw last year (both on DVD and in theaters).

12. Tip 4 Sci-Fi fans!!!
I just discovered a small Japanese movie called "Returner." It's GREAT, better than The Matrix!!! With bits of Independence Day and The Professional tossed in 4 good measure!

Excellent movie (if you do Sci-Fi!!!)!!!

13. We ended up with "Gosford Park"
We usually watch British comedies on our local PBS station Saturday nights, but they've been doing a pledge drive, so instead of the comedies they're airing...Dennis De Young performing the songs of Styx, accompanied by a rock band AND an orchestra! I know, it sounds ghastly, and it is.
