Poll question: Do you say 'net, internet or web?
I know it can depend on the circumstances, but how do you normally refer to this vast technoopolis? (Now THERE'S a word! :))

1. I don't speak to people, but if I did, it would probably be 'internet' since I spend
lots of time ftping, IRCing, etc.

9. It's sort of funny now that you mention it. I say "I'm on the computer"
Edited on Mon Nov-23-09 11:53 PM by Duer 157099
when I really mean that I'm using the Internet. To me, they are inseparable and synonymous.

edit: although, ok, if I want to tell someone to go online to look at something, I guess I usually say "online" (not "go to my computer" lol)

10. "tubes" or sometimes "teh interwebs" or even "intertubes" but that sounds more like a pool flotation
toy than a network of computers.
