Rat Face is on the desk with her nose in my (now her) glass of
carbonated water. She's studying it and licking the inside of the glass.

I love my Rat Face. :)

1. In my house no cold beverage
is safe from the mouth of Luna!

Try to put it out of her reach?-- There is no such thing- She will leap up and knock it to the floor for good measure!

4. My cat always drinks out of my glass. I gave him 2 of his own, but
he will always prefer mine, if he can.
With his, he has taken up the habit of dipping his paw into it several times, and flinging water around.
I don't know why. Fun, I guess. Or he just doesn't understand water.

5. So do you cat lovers believe the study they did a couple years ago
..that says cats have no sweet tooth? I caught my cat licking the saucer of hot cocoa spillage and immediately got her away from it, but she goes apeshit over sugary stuff.

Also, she licked up the VERY hot salsa I poured over my omelet one time. I was scared for her making it to the litter box, but she digested it just fine.

6. Mine only goes crazy when I'm eating something like yogurt or pudding
So no, I don't believe that study. She never bothers me if I have meat of any kind, but if I pull out the Swiss Miss Pudding in a cup, she's all up in my face.

7. I think mine has a sweet tooth. For the sugar in yogurt, and for
treats I give him, and he begs for 2x per day, which contain hfcs.

8. Sorry but I have dogs whom I have spoiled.
Evidently too much. They are both twelve years old now and one has major food alergies and digestive problems while the one does just fine. The vet has told us to give them only dry dog food now, with us adding medicine to the ones food. No treats, no human food except green beans once in a while. We are feeding them three times a day even though the vet only wanted us to feed them twice. The dog with problems sits and cries most of the day because she is still hungry or thinks she is. The dog that has no food problems will not eat unless I feed her the food with a spoon. Just imagine an old woman feeding a lab out of a spoon three times a day. I am going nuts!!!

The bigger problem is when I eat they both think I have to share with them. The dog with the problems has got to where she now steals food if it is left unattended and even gets a little aggressive (not mean but just pushy). I cheat and give them a little wet dog food with their dry (to keep from giving them too many green beans) and this helps a little, but my days are busy worrying about feeding my old ladies and keeping them from getting anything/everything they are not suppose to get. No drinking from my glass, but long tongues licking any reachable plate or saucers is common.
