How many timekeeping devices do you have to change?

With watches, clocks, VCR/DVD's, PC's, laptops, cameras, microwaves, security system and who knows what else ... I must have about two dozen things I have to change the time on. And ever since Dumbya changed the dates I can't use the automatic function that some of them have any more. I think I'll just do it tomorrow instead of tonight.

1. The most difficult is the clock in my car....
I have to use the scan and set buttons on the radio...and going back and hour is a real pain, since I have to go all the way around to get to an hour earlier...

Most of the others are pretty straightforward.

It is SO easy to change my clock in my car it is idiotic so I thought, well, I'll just do it...it seemed a little strange to always be an hour off for half the year!

I have about 5 things I have to change. The rest change themselves...

5. Thermostat and car
I gave up on the microwave and stove clock a while ago. Whenever I do set it, the power tends to go off or flicker longer enough in the house within a month that they reset. The cable boxes will reset themselves as will the cell phone and laptop.

I live in Arizona and we don't do DST. It gets confusing though. Alaska will be 2 hours earlier instead of 1, Nevada will be 1 instead of 0, Chicago will be 1 hour ahead instead of 2, and the East coast will be 2 hours instead of 3. Olberman will be on at 6 instead of 5 and the Daily Show reruns will be on at 8 instead of 7. Welcome to my world.

Why can't people leave the damned time alone? Just go to work at 7 instead of 8. Get off at 3:30 instead of 4:30. Are people so mentally challenged they can't figure that out?

We need clocks that have Universe time. That are calculated back to the big bang, and carrys the date & time forward. When we start doing more space exploration, we can't be setting daylight savings time for the universe.

Arizona doesn't need to save any daylight.

We have too much already.

44. One clock, watch, microwave, car clock which I always forget how to do
So I just keep pushing two buttons "that worked last year"

The cable boxes change the time themselves..if only everything I listed would do the same!!

OH man..my DOGS! Anyone know how to change the inner clock of my three "I have to PEE right NOW! Get up right NOW" dogs?

46. Just the one in the car and on the stove. The rest take care of themselves.
I loves me some technology.

49. Four, I think
Car, clock-radio, watch, and I probably should make sure my digital camera clock is right... haven't looked at it in a couple of years.

I never set my VCR clock when I moved in to my latest digs, and the computers, cellphone, and wall clock are all automatic.

50. Just the one in the car
Computer changes automatically. I have no wall clocks. Don't have a VCR anymore. My cell phone which updates automatically has replaced both my alarm clock and my wrist watch.

54. You lucky dog!
On the other hand, it has been pitch dark at 8:00 am, so for kids going to school or waiting for their bus, and for rude drivers, it is probably better to "fall back."

58. I understand
Bad for us the programming doesn't stay on the same time slots so we have to adjust to that.

56. Eight
The computer and Dish-box are automatic. I have three analog clocks/watch and four digital clocks. I don't think the DVD/VCR does an auto-change but it might, saving me one bit of hassle...

The clock on my car's CD player refuses to acknowledge that I exist and won't let me set the time to anything but what it currently displays, or 2 hours and 14 minutes slow (now 1:14 slow) :eyes:

59. I have so many wristwatches to change--but my the clock in my car
is the tough one. How to change it isn't in the manual. I've only done it "by accident" every time I've done it by just doggedly holding down this button and fiddling with that one--usually a handful of days or weeks of telling time by doing math.) The microwave, of course. And the alarm clock in the bedroom--that one would be important. (My cell phone time is always noon on Sunday, I see no reason to change that.)

64. Just a few.
Two of our clocks set themselves automatically from the Bureau of Standards clock. The cable box changes itself automatically from Comcast. The computer clocks set themselves automatically.

I don't own a watch. We have a couple of clock radios, and I reset them on Saturday. There's a Kit Kat clock in the living room that is a PITA to reset, since you have to set it by turning the minute hand FORWARD all the way to the new time, but I'll do that sometime today.

The car clocks? I don't bother with them. They're right again now, since they were set on standard time long ago.

I don't bother with appliance clocks. Who cares? The telephones have clocks in them, but I don't really care if the answering machine says the wrong time as I'm deleting unwanted messages. I never set those clocks in the first place, so I have no idea what time they think it is.

Does anyone really know what time it is?

Changed 1 watch last night, and the rest this morning.
Got the exact time from the TV.

It's a pain. I don't know why we still do this. Does it really save on energy costs?
