12. The Angels fell flat...
Edited on Sun Oct-25-09 11:29 PM by AsahinaKimi
Chone Figgens was non existant in the post season... The defense was fair..but the Offense could not do anything. It was pathetic. During the regular season, the Angels had many scores in double figures.. where
was that during the post season??

The thing is ..they are better then this!!! The team has never had problems against the Yankees historically..its almost like they were too tired to play the post season..

Mike Scioscia has a lot to answer for.. first question being.. "WTF Mike?"

42. I hate the Yankees with every fiber of my being.
Not sure why, it's completely irrational but my favorite teams are the Minnesota Twins and ANYONE playing the Yankees.

I don't feel that way about any other team (unless of course it's any team that is playing my team. Then I hate them, as much as I hate the Yankees, at least for the duration of the series). Well, I hate the Cowboys almost as much as I hate the Yankees but my boyfriend is a big fan of the Cowboys so I dial down the hate a little bit).

45. I don't see the point of hating a sports team. I really don't. For one thing, the team you hate
today is not the same as the team you hated 10 years ago or even one year ago. Plus, to hate a team you have to hate individuals you don't even know, which is even more pointless.

Neither the Angels or Dodgers were as good as their records suggested. Sadly, neither were my Red Sox.

Go Phils!!!

11. The Angels were terrible in the field and even on the bases.
I really think the numerous errors, poor fielding, and poor running hurt them. It made a difference.

15. Hey, I was pulling for the Tigers.
That was probably one of the craziest series of the entire post season.

I'm pissed because the Yankees bought all those players, the umpires gave them a game, and I wanted the Angels to win for Nick Adenhart. Instead that was absolutely horrible.

It was pretty satisfying watching the Angels fall apart, in any case. You guys sponsored by Chico's Bail Bonds or something? Please report for fielding fundamentals as soon as you get done with the golf tour.

But then what's to be expected from such an upstanding organization like the Yankees that hires a mobbed-up company do their work.

The only thing the Phillies have to fear..are the Yankees, themselves. So if they are too "scared" maybe they should stay home! LOL!

As for the "cracks" they are caused by settling...so fear not..come on down! If not...watch us win on tv!

40. Yankees Win More when Democrats are in office
I remember reading this last year:

Want more Yankee Octobers? Pull for Barack Obama in November
BY William Mcgee

Friday, October 31st 2008, 7:19 PM

This year, Barack Obama signifies hope. Not over the economic meltdown or the War on Terror, but for October baseball in the Bronx.

Forget the Curse of the Bambino in Boston or the Curse of the Goat in Chicago. It's who's going to be living on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington that will determine if a world championship returns to the Bronx any time soon. The statistics make it clear.

With a Democratic rather than Republican commander in chief, the Yankees have won several more pennants (22 compared to 17) and nearly three times as many championships (19 to 7). In fact, the team has a losing World Series record when the GOP controls the Executive Branch, going 7-10 for a .412 clip. Under Democrats, the Yanks are an outstanding 19-3 in the Fall Classic, which translates into a breathtaking .864 winning percentage. That's 197 percentage points higher than the team's overall World Series record.
