6. I will have to look into more of Eno's work.
The atmosphere reminds me very much of Vangelis. I love music that makes your mind play movies of its own.

5. That was an excellent film, John William's score was nice as well.
We played the theme in marching band in high school. Very bright piece of music.

4. I have loved the use of Adagio in film.

Platoon, Elephant Man, it was even used in Amelie. That song is so yearningly heartbreaking.

And your song from "Once Upon a time in the West" reminds me of this song from "Frida"

7. Do you know if this theme song has a name? Starts at 40 seconds in.

I saw the movie recently. Really liked it but I really liked the theme song and couldn't find a name for it in the credits or on the web.

8. Looked like the music was by Cyril Mockridge
May be hard to find the actual name of the song, though.

:)

9. Thanks. Yes, I found his name. Great name, BTW, but I couldn't find a name for the song.
Oh, well.

I know it was different from what was already posted (it's not sad-pretty-grand) but I'd just heard it recently, liked it, and thought it sounded familiar.

Thanks.

10. The 'Vide Cor Meum' Opera" from "Hannibal"
One of my all-time favorite movie moments is "The 'Vide Cor Meum' Opera" from "Hannibal" (the sequel to "Silence of the Lambs"). In this scene, Ridley Scott magnificently directs a creepy encounter between Inspector Renaldo Pazzi and Hannibal Lector at a open-air musical performance. The stunning music, "Vide Cor Meum", was composed by Patrick Cassidy (a contemporary Irish composer) from Dante's La Vita Nuova (The New Life) where Dante describes his first forays into poetry. The scene is chilling, beautiful, musically haunting, and perfect in almost every way...
