I have reached my weight loss goal
I weighed in at 185 yesterday. That was my original goal the day I signed up at the weight loss clinic and weighed in at 289- 104 pounds in 9.5 months. I now like the way I look for the first time in my life. I was fat my whole life. I was born overweight :D. Yes, I know, my poor mother.

There are a few things that I don't like about my new body, though. It will forever bare the marks of morbid obesity- stretch marks that is. I also have no ass now. Maybe I should get ass cheek implants. It might be covered by my insurance under the cosmetic reconstruction clause. It hurts me to sit on hard surfaces for more than a few minutes. I'm also not as strong as I used to be. I work with car parts. Sometimes I need to move transmissions around to make my job more convenient. They weigh around 200 pounds. When I was 290 I could pick them up about a foot off the ground and set them in a parts cage. It ain't happening now days. But now that I think about it, there probably aren't too many people on the planet who can lift more than they weigh. And I can still move the transmissions around. I just have to slide them across the floor and use leverage to wrestle them into the cages.

As you can see, the weight loss hasn't impaired my ability to complain. I'm 37 and I'm in the best shape of my life. I am happy and I have no health problems or vices. Life is good.

1. Congratulations on reaching your goal!
Don't even think about things that you may not be able to do that you used to. Think of the things you CAN do that you couldn't do.

Besides, in time you'll be moving transmissions around just like you used to but you'll be doing so 104 lbs lighter.

10. Awesome! WTG Tobin. We are very proud of you and
sure that you must feel proud of yourself for having accomplished such a difficult task.

LOL on the no ass now, now you know how I feel!!

It's hard to get used to a new body, I know. I still see a fat me in the mirror. I 'feel' morbidly obese some days.

I think I still look fat, go figger.

WELL DONE FRIEND.

12. Congratulations!.........
I've been following your weight loss story with some interest as I am doing some shaping up myself. As of last week, I was about 6lbs short of my weight loss goal. I started at around 230 in late May, and the last I checked I was at 206 (my goal is 200lb - I am 6'2" w/ a largish frame). Unfortunately I have been sidelined with a bad case of bronchitis that has prevented me from exercising at all this week since playing 18 holes of golf on Tues, so I'm sure my weight has crept up.

Good work Tobin. I'm sure you've been getting compliments all over the place. I've gotten quite a few (especially from the ladies) and it feels tremendous! The only downside is that none of my clothes fit anymore. Oh well!

16. Thank you and congratulations to you!
Having to buy new clothes is a good problem to have. It can get expensive, though, espcially if you are a white collar type. I just wear jeans and t-shirts all the time and as I was losing I would just buy two pairs of pants at a time and I'd get the extra cheapy t-shirts.

19. Congrats!
As far as stretch marks and no ass, give it time, over the next several months your body will continue to rearrange itself.

25. Congratulations! Don't sweat the marks too much.
You're pretty young and if you have loose skin it might continue to shrink if you do toning. Stretch marks are just a fact of life for many people, women who've had babies, men and women who've lost weight. You did a great thing and you'll live a longer, richer life. You deserve all the praise you can stand.

Btw, how'd you do it? It was fast!
