Bush is upset at Spain-will close down border between Spain and the US
Jay Leno - dumps on Kerry as always - last night saying that Kerry needs twice the number of secret service guards because he has 2 positions on evey issue - and then offers up a Bush is stupid joke - namely the above.

NBC then has Russert assert on the morning Today Show that Bush's ads have move him ahead of Kerry in the polls, and again they repeat Rove talking points with no Kerry rebutal. They seem unable to read Krugman's column today where he notes the ads blame Kerry for things Bush has done - and Kerry hasn't, and ignore Bush hiding cost of war so as to pass tax cuts, and then dumping on Kerry when Kerry wants to pay for cost by a slight reduction in those tax cuts for the rich.

Why doesn't NBC just merge with Fox - Russert does these dog and pony Rove scripted shows as often as Wolf on CNN, yet somehow his fellow media folk see him as an example of good journalism.

What a crock.

Back to CBC and the BBC.

1. I stopped watching TV a while ago
I think the last thing I watched on TV was the Super Bowl. Glad to see I'm not missing anything by not watching the news. Might I suggest you take a break from the TV? Or at least the news. Print media seems to be a little bit better than broadcast as far as bias goes and there's always the internet where you can tailor the spin the way you want it by picking and choosing your sources.

Oh, I neglected seeing the first time that you plan on checking out the CBC and the BBC. That's better. We Americans could learn a thing or two from them.

Blow up your TV!

2. I too stopped watching Network TV about 20 years ago.
But my wife just turns on FOX news just enough to hear their talking points. What is so amazing, read the backcountry newspapers
and see how Fox's 'talking points' show up in the bumpkin editorial page about two days later.
American's they slay me...We get our news in the same manner we come to think Zest is better than Irish Spring. Amazing.
I really liked the line from the movie "Dogma." Was it Liam Neeson the arch angel who said how amazing it was how American's popularize history once they are made into movies.
yes, In this day of Bush, Reagan..I fear Bush will win.
