Why does Jeff Dunham have his own show? He's seriously unfunny.

Not unfunny in the asshole way that Denis Leary or Dane Cook or Carlos Mencia are unfunny, but just... totally not funny.

I find his act to painful because I feel so sorry for him, up there bungling around trying to make jokes, none of which work, none of which are interesting, and none of which are saying anything.

6. I had a friend force me to watch one of his DVDs once.

Take away his puppets and only judge him on his comedy, and he is less funny than the Blue Collar Comedy tour.

Add the puppets and somehow he's more insulting.

You're totally right.

I think his real claim to fame and reason he's so popular is that he's one of the few comics who are inoffensive.

Real popular with the Archie Bunker types, even though secretly, they'd rather be listening to Lisa Lampanelli (who's offensive, but also mediocre enough, for the braindead to enjoy)
