Did Stern air that piece from Oprah Winfrey's show?
I guess there was a recent episode of Oprah Winfrey where Oprah was discussing a very inappropriate sexual act right their on her syndicated afternoon show.

Jimmy Kimmel was the first to point it out stating that if Howard Stern had discuss this issue the FCC would have been all over it.

So today, Stern wanted to play that Winfrey bit stating that the FCC wouldn't dare fine him because they would also have to fine Winfrey for first talking about the subject and fining Winfrey would be like the kiss of death for Bush. However the censors on the Stern show bleeped the section saying they didn't want to risk the fine.

By the time I got to work, the manager Tom was still considering whether or not to let Stern play the piece (the explicit clip from Winfrey's show) uncensored. Did Stern get to play it?

BTW, Stern is updating his website to handle more traffic and will be including this and other bits that get censored. Plus he includes links for all the press about how the FCC is going after him and how much Bush is an idiot. He says he'll have the Winfrey piece up by monday once they get enough servers to handle the traffic

And now that's he's broadcasting over Streamer.com, (a Mac version is promised) that audience can only get bigger.

3. I was just reading about that
on Atrios. Holy cow, that was gross. I can't believe they were discussing that on daytime TV. I'm sure there are way more kids who watch Oprah than listen to Howard Stern.

4. I haven't listened..
I haven't listened to Stern in a while. Not because I don't like him, I just don't listen. I have been listening lately though. I'm enjoying what he is doing now.
I work with someone who is from the religious right and he started on me this morning about Stern. He said "I don't want to hear anything about him"...of course he is the one who brought it up... and I reminded him of that. He doesn't want his 3 and 4 year old to listen to that filth on the radio. This is the same guy who has taken his two children to some of the work get togethers at the bar. Thats better for them than the word shit.
Oh well..I just type away.

14. Yeah..
...no shit. This guy is a piece of work though. He tries to debate issues and it is unreal. He lives in some other world. Although I do enjoy watching him make a huge sign of the cross and fold his hands in prayer at his desk right before he eats a cookie or a sweeTart...

19. I hope this blows up into a bigger story
because the hypocricy is just rampant here.

Queen Oprah, America's favorite psuedo-black, can do no wrong in the eyes of the same soccer moms who try to ban Howard. And there's no way Rove-a-Matic 2000 is gonna go after her and alienate her audience. I really hate Tom Chiosano and the suits at HS's studio for taking the coward's way out. Howard even offered to pay the fine himself.

Before the flaming begins, I say "psuedo-black" because anytime a narcissistic multi-billionaire affects the "miz thang" accent to show how down she is, it's the exact same thing as Bush calling himself "jest a Washington outsider from Crawford!"
