I have no clue how they got there.

I had a girlfriend once, who woke me up with her sounds of what I would categorize as angst, fear, and dread, along with a sort of rocking-on-her-side motion - but she was asleep. I listened for a little while wondering what to do, and then decided to wake her. As it happened, I was able to calm her w/o her waking up.

The next morning, she opened her robe and showed me her stomach and chest. Long, deep scratches that I would never have believed, previous to this, that someone could do to themselves in their sleep.

They look like bites, almost like a mosquito bite, sometimes that small, depending on your reaction to them sometimes as large as hives. The BL&D will show up like that in a line, but not like a scratch.
