But it can seem that way sometimes as it's an allusion on TV. The ball could have went past the bottom crossbar and drifted right or left. However the refs have the best view from being underneath and able to look upwards.

Is there a youtube video of this? I'm just guessing.

It's difficult from that angle and that is the angle of allusions I'm referring to. Easier to tell from on the ground to directly up. Also the quality isn't 100% but I see some of the youtube comments mentioning what you're saying.
