1. Okay, so the toy implies older girls and women can't figure out on their own what their boobs do...
Sheesh. How many animals need a freakin' doll to figure out what goes where and why...

2. actually there is a difference between the nursing instinct
of a baby (which we are born with) and the mothering instinct to give suckle. Some individual animals don't know how/don't want to nurse their offspring. Ask any dog or cat breeder. They will tell you about how they either have to assist or hand feed because of that.

4. Heh heh. "Chup chup chup" is apparently the equivalent of "slurp, slurp, slurp.'
"Chup" sounds better.

Bluuuurp = Buuurp

I learn something new every day.

7. I don't see why people get upset about the Pole Dancer, cuz Bratz dolls are just made up prostitutes
with big pouty lips and giant heads and yet they are a "hit" with a bunch of kids.

12. The virus plush dolls were meant for education and for adults
H.I.V.(Human Immunodeficiency Virus)
Not cute in any sense, This plush microbe seeks to educate those about the deadly virus that destroys CD4 or T-helper cells.

They were on Think Geek which is a toystore for geeky adults

16. Exactly - I just LOVE the plushy infections!
Same reason I love plushy Cthulhu. They're cute, but meant for adults, because they're usually the only ones who are in on the joke. Them and maybe Dakota Fanning.

20. I knew that had to be it.
I was thinking, "Okay, so, for discussion in health education classes, clinics, whatever." Not for kids with a few minutes to spare between snack time and recess.

22. I only highlighted that one because of the Lounge
Being that breastfeeding is a hot topic around here.

I find the real creepy ones to be the shaving doll, the pole dancing doll, and the tassels. :puke:

23. I read somewhere else that the tassel shirt was "ironic."
Which usually means one of three things: "I'm an art major," "I like attention," or "I fucked up," really.

I'll make a note of the breastfeeding obsession. Thanks for the education.
