moms putting their boy in pageants at 2 weeks old, a mom who has twins competing against each other, she said one looks like herself and she's the prettiest of her 5 girls, the little girl's twin has a bigger nose, the poor twin girl said she didn't wanna compete against her sister because its hard to win, good grief

3. I have watched this show in the past, but this particular episode really bothered me

I was so mad after that show I was steaming. That mom sickened me, she favored one of her twins over the other, and it was obvious even to that poor little girl who was forever shadowed by her twin sister. Thankfully the girls' father has more sense than that mother does.

I don't have a problem with it, but after watching several of these shows, it appears that this is for the moms. I am not for the glitz pageants, where they walk out in short dresses and full makeup and blowing kisses at the judges, that aint right.

I'm sure there is a lot of brainwashing that goes on to get these little girls to buy into these "values."

7. If my baby girl wanted to enter a pageant, I would let her do one.

But I would never EVER let it become what these mom's and dad's have let it become. And I wouldn't buy an extravagant dress. Just something simple. It would be a one time thing to let her do it only if she wanted to. These pageants are gross. REally. I was shocked to see what these little kids are doing. I watched about 10 minutes of this show and had to turn it. It was so sad to me.

8. I almost put my daughter in one of those pageants once

she was about 2, but couldn't afford the entry fees and the price for one the fancy dresses, they are VERY pricey. Glad it didn't ever occur, it was an blessing in disguise really, in hindsight knowing her personality, I dont' think she wouldn't have enjoyed doing pageants. But if she had come to me and asked to do so, I would have let her do one.

I had a neighbor who had a little girl who did these glitzy pageants. She had won alot of awards, crowns ect. One day about aged 5 she said she didnt want to do them anymore, and her parents didn't balk at all, it was all up to her. Hopefully the other pageant parents are this good about it.

10. It shouldn't be forced at all. It is an ugly business from what I can tell.

Little girls getting spray tans? And massages? And teeth whitening? That is just sad. UGh!!! But yeah, if my little one really wanted to do one, and I could afford the fees, I would let her. But I would put her in a simple little dress and no makeup. I guess she'd lose! But I refuse to play into that nasty world out there. There are some pageants that are local that are much different than these on this show. If she really wanted to be in one, I would find one that is just a local thing. Hopefully she won't want to go that route. I never wanted to.

14. yeah, and alot of the time the parents put the prize money towards the pageant debts

thus there is an impending necessity for the kids to place so they can win money, so alot of pressure on these poor kids. If it's just for fun, alot of pressure would be eliminated.
