I'm really fascinated with the "Hard Knocks" show on HBO.
This year it covers the Bengals training camp. We're all so used to seeing stories about rich, spoiled athletes, but it's really neat watching players with virtually no chance in hell (or a very slim one) of making the team. These guys make very little while they are in training camp, and it's kind of heartbreaking to see them get cut. What doesn't make sense to me is where they go next. Since every team is going through the same process, how do the 20 or so guys who get cut find work on other teams?

A small chunk of them will get signed to practice squads, but the majority of these guys go get work outside of football like everyone else.
