I tried Babel Fish but it wasn't working.

Any help would be very appreciated!

1. Miss Honeychurch is German and posts here in the early
morning hours. She could definitely help you. I will direct her to your thread when I see her tomorrow, if you have not heard anything by then.

2. If you dont get an answer from anybody on DU...
if you transcribe it to text for me, I'll send it to my friend Art as he's fluent in German. It'll probably take him a few days to a week to get you a translation.

6. I'll give it a go, take the old High-School Deutsch out for a spin...

GodImFried "Ludolf" PotSmoker's encylopaedic study of foreskins, or, "totally stoned, the stated variations in natural schwing, in alphabaetical order". Here is a drawing of a woman who attempted to float away, several times, to hide from her needy children. This happened in Berlin, 1798 times. In the bowling alley, are hot dogs and snacks. This is a commercial for Joachim Pauli's snack bar. Eat at Joachim's.

How'd I do?

15. It does have big illustrations, the fold outs are bigger then two pages of both side of book

The illustrations are really unusual. Some are violent....

Really unusual book.

18. Do you have only that book
or more from this series? It was and is a very important encyclopedia. There is an online version of it. http://www.kruenitz1.uni-trier.de/

It is very helpful when you need explanation for certain words we don't use anymore. We had an exhibition a couple of years ago and I remember that I searched the online Krünitz for explanations.

20. Only this one - I bought it for the engravings which are numerous and some large

I don't speak German & I had NO idea what the book was about...

The illustrations are truly unique and I think the art is what will hold the value above the book (it doesn't hurt that the book is completely intact).
