Update on Max: He goes to the vet this Thursday

I got the money I needed to get his ear hematoma fixed up. The vet drained his ear Saturday, but it swelled up the next day. All he's doing is lying under my bed except to eat, drink, and use the kitty litter. He has an ear infection that may require either antibiotics, surgery, or both. If I can't pay in full, at least I can pay the balance a week later.

To all DUers who helped me, thank you. But I have to thank my sister and my mom (whom I swear is looking out for me from beyond the grave) the most.

Say a purr-ayer for Max. I want my lively, playful big baby back.

6. Ruby has been demanding more attention from me than usual

since Max has been with that blood blister. She has been wanting to sit on my lap while I'm on the computer, meowing with that worried look in her eyes. I guess she knows her son needs vet attention and she's been trying to get me to get off my human ass and get him better asap.
