Not only doesn't the Lounge NOT suck, it's better than ever

It's more fun, more relaxing, more friendly and certainly more supportive. Thank you moderators and admins for doing such a great job! Thank you fellow Loungers for being such great posters and make this place a great place to hang out.

5. I will agree...

The mods and the admins do an excellent job.

I will say this... as computer users, we tend to get a bit of tunnel vision when it comes to understanding what it takes to run a site like this.

The mods and admins get more crap than I can imagine, or would tolerate.

I know this site is a livelihood, but Jesus, I don't know if I would want to run it day to day.

And I agree that the lounge is better...maybe not as exciting and emotionally stirring...but certainly less hyper and more comforting.

There have been very few locked threads lately, and there are several long time members posting here now that I never noticed posting in the lounge before.

Just my $.02.

8. I honestly don't know what all the fireworks were about

and I don't want to know. But I did avoid the lounge for a while because it seemed everything was in turmoil, and even when I visited I was very selective as to what threads I opened and what I responded to.

It does seem a little nicer overall here... for whatever reason. I guess I just like when people get along or at least try to.

12. What does anyone have against the Lounge? I LOVE the Lounge!

It's the only place on this site to go to escape all the BS chest thumping shouting matches most of the time.

Not to say that really good discussions can't be had on DU, but when the topics devolve into pointless, close minded shouting matches, it's great to come in here and cool off.
