Got a funny looking bird trapped and flying around in here...
Huge wing span, but it may only look that way because it is trapped inside.

It is making a really high pitched squeaking noise, and here's the thing...it is all brown and covered with fur.

It actually attached itself to the wall and is holding still for me to caress it.

I've seen sparrows do that, but I'm not sure what kind this is...

9. a brown bat
they have germs and their pee smells nasty

I would suggest you put it outside and get yourself a parakeet.

10. How can it be a bat if it is hanging off my finger?
Only birds do that.

19. upside down
it is a bat

parakeets sit up - they don't like hanging from their little claws.

17. Yes...they are very useful creatures...
They should not be killed... if you get one, they say to turn on the lights and open the window, because they will head back to fresh air and darkness.

24. Define "bat problem". No snarkiness intended, it's just that
I was delighted to see a little 3 bat "flock" "herd"(?) swooping and diving around just at dusk yesterday. I think they're wonderful, and no problem. :)

26. Yes, that would be a problem.
Maybe you can lure him out by turning on the porch light for a few minutes to let insects crowd around, turn off all the inside lights, and open the door. He might go after the bugs and you could close the door real fast. Try it.

18. I once had a chimney
one evening a bat flew down it and the dogs went crazy - it was just this brown fuzzy thing that squeaked - I had to trap it to set it free, first I had to trap the dogs in the other room.

they are freaky little things
