Chipotle ran out of rice AND chicken.
I wanted to get a veggie burrito bowi for dinner (actually, I have been so busy today it is lunch/dinner) and the line was long. I thought it was just because it is after rush hour and I live in a busy neighborhood...after 4 minutes and people in front of me leaving, I learned that they were out of rice and chicken - they were waiting on another store to deliver some for the evening rush.

Someone's in *trouble*.

I settled on chips and guac...they had that and they gave me a free drink for waiting so long.

2. Overheard at the drive-through at 11:58 PM at a 24-hour burger king..
Uh, sorry but we are in the middle of a shift change and won't be able to take your order for 10-15 minutes..

OK..I'll wait
(13 minutes later)

You told me that over 10 minutes ago..let me speak to the manager...

This IS the manager.......

I take off and go elsewhere.

What infuriates me most is I have worked fast food and if I had a customer wanting food I better be making damn sure they get their food quickly!

4. Ha!
this is a second-hand story, but in college a friend of mine went to Burger King late at night...they were waiting in line for their order and the person behind the counter started projectile vomiting over the counter. They were given refunds...they were offered gift certificates by the night manager but decided against it. He hasn't been to BK since.

I am not really a junk food person - I just go to Five Guys for my burger fix, but on the rare occasion I go to BK (once every 4 years tops) I can't help but think of this story.

5. I went to a Mexican place that was suspiciously "out" of several things
we ordered what they had and ate it.

A few hours later we learned what the real problem was. :hurts:

6. At least you have a Chipotle!
I used to, but that was when I worked less than 10 minutes from one. Now it's a special trip and a special treat.
