My mom just emailed me an old pic of my Grampa, after whom my youngest son is named.

It's Grampa Henry, holding me and one of my sisters. I'm really getting a kick out of all the old pics Mom has been sending me!

Was that in Oregon? Parts of Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia look like Maine.

I don't have too many of my grandfather as a relatively young man so I'm glad for this one.

5. My sister has been doing the same for me.

My children have told me I was crazy because I said I was part Native American, even though my records show it. When I got the picture of my grandfather when he was young all doubts were blown away.

Oh, I should explain that my grandmothers both died before I was born, my mother died when I was young as did my grandfathers. My children only knew my father slightly and that was not all that a positive experience. :nopity: :eyes:

I hope that he is a positive part of your ancestry and that your kids can appreciate that.

I love old pics like that too. Unfortunately, very few pics of me with my grandparents exist. :(
