2. Not fair.
This should've been a two-part question, because there are two bands called The Doobie Brothers. One's a rock band and the other one is blue-eyed soul.

And the answers would be (a) China Grove and (b) What A Fool Believes.

3. I still love Black Water
I saw them in concert 20 years ago and loved them. They are just timeless.

5. "Take Me In Your Arms" and "Eyes of Silver".
With "Another Park, Another Sunday" as a close third.

6. I give a nod to "I Cheat the Hangman"...
...which was conspicuously absent in most best-of collections. As was "Another Park, Another Sunday."

But "Black Water" may be best of all.

9. What a Fool Believes still makes me cry..
Is it really What a Fool Believers? Gee, Michael McDonald has bad diction.
(I love him anyway, my grown and terribly musically sophisticated children laugh at me, but there it is.)

10. "Without You"...
...because the little explosive jam that comes at the 3:15 mark makes it some of the best driving music in the WORLD.

11. I chose Toulouse Street of the songs listed.
This song and Clear as Driven Snow
and Closer Every Day are my favorite
Doobie Brothers songs.
