*Vibes, please, my dear friends*

A few weeks ago, I had a routine visit with my cardiologist...

He heard something in my right carotid artery, the one that feeds the brain...

He listened and listened...

A "whoosh" noise.

Didn't hear anything out of the ordinary on the left side...

So, he told me I needed a carotid ultrasound of both arteries, which I did...They never tell you anything, so I have no idea what it showed.

And tomorrow, I'm going to have an echocardiogram...

And later, I'll see him again, and he'll give me the scoop...

So....

If you would, hold a good thought for me tomorrow at around 11:15 AM, PDT...

15. To put this in perspective

My husband's defibrillator failed last week. He has to have a new one implanted on Thursday. The leads of the one that has failed are defective and his surgery is incredibly risky. Good chance he won't survive.

.....but hearing the whoosh puts several thousand dollars in the pockets of those who do the tests and read them.

If it's any comfort, my cardiologist heard a whoosh too and thought it might be a bruit. He listened very briefly (just a couple of seconds) then ordered the ultrasound and the echo.

Everything was fine. No blockage, no bruit. I'm hoping the same for you.
