Han Solo shoots first cause he is a bad mambajamba and he doesn't have to take Greedo's crap!

Curse you Lucas for me even having to say it.

That is all.

2. The Special Edition version is implausible.
If Greedo shot first, Han would have been millenium jerky. No one misses at that range. And Han was perfectly justified in pulling the trigger. Lizard boy wanted to rub him out.

13. The clones/stormtroopers shoot pretty well in Episodes 2 & 3
and, in the interim "Clone Wars" series. Take the "Execute Order 66" scene in episode 3:

When Lucas kicks off, I will be the first in line to buy the original 3 on DVD. I have the new crap ones on DVD and thankfully the old remastered Star Wars on VHS.

Also in our house the prequels don't exist, you don't fuck with your own cannon, dumbass.

7. I have the SE on VHS.
I generally like the additions and especially the background color. It was like whole new movies. But that Han-shot-first-thing is hard to overlook.

What I would REALLY like to see is the original '77 cinema edition of Star Wars. The one where Biggs and Wedge visit Luke on Tatoine (sp?) and where Luke misses the first time he uses that grapple hook and misses the first time he shoots at the exhaust port on the DS.

I thought Phantom Menace sucked-sucked-sucked-sucked. It was a suck sundae with a big blob of whipped suck on top. I found Attack of the Clowns watchable because there was so much going on, but the performances were wooden. Same with Sith, but I thought the story was sufficiently compelling to overlook the stilted dialogue and contrivances. Of course now when Kenobi tells Luke that Vader is "more machine than man" I want to say "Who's fault is that?"

12. The term geek was originally the label for a circus side-show...
...wild man who was supposed to look like a cave-man or something. The highlight of the act was that he would eat live animals. Usually, it was some drunk who was paid in moonshine.

So, I guess I see the term "geek" as being derisive and implying freakishness. But then I always have been very literal in my thinking.

14. Yes, I'm familiar with the origin...
and I'm very literal-minded as well, and usually a stickler for word meanings.

However on this one, I have to go with what sounds better when being shouted to playfully mock others. IMO 'NERRRRRD!' just doesn't have that same bite.

21. It's funny I always considered Nerd the negative term
while geek was the positive one. Heck, Best Buy has the whole Geek Squad thing going. My favorite software download site is MajorGEEKS.com

I didn't know there was any debate about that. What was he supposed to do, let Greedo vaporize him and and break my then-teenage heart?

By the way, isn't it a little sad, somehow, that we all know exactly what you're talking about?
