My SO was glued to the TV yesterday waiting for the brackets to be announced. He is a HUGE UConn (men's and women's) fan. :eyes:
I am admittedly not a sports fan at all, but March makes me wish that the year was only 11 months long. It reminds me of the scene during BaseketBall, where the sports announcers are breaking down the brackets for the baseketball teams, and the season is, like, 11 months long.

I used to kid him about non-professional wrestling was the only sport I enjoyed watching (sweaty men in nothing but a singlet rolling around on a mat, and you think of anything more homoerotic?)

7. Maybe if basketball had a 'goalie'

A guy to sit at the top of the net and kick the balls away when the players try to make baskets. Personally, I'd love it if midgets could play this role; I feel the sport is predisposed against midgets, and it would be good if they could be a part of the game while shouting pejoratives at all the tall guys on the floor.

they are only fun to watch in the Olympics.

and the crappy way TV handles the Olympics makes that even boring sometimes. the talking heads talk everything to death and they only show the events THEY think are the most interesting to the viewers.

I find sports to be meaningless and distracting. Why so many are so enamored of them is something I'll probably never understand.
