Signs that you've been working 2nd or 3 shift way too long:
You refer to the people on 1st shift as "day walkers".

1. When I worked rotating shifts in the USAF, we
called the non shift people the "day ladies."

4 days, 24 hours off, 4 swings, 24 hours off, 4 mids, 72 hours off.

Major suckage. We hated the day ladies, but you could get a steak for breakfast in the mess hall at any meal service.

2. No matter how much sleep you get, 2AM to 4AM is Zombie Time
I saw people make more mistakes during that time. I had maintenance guys who would sneak off to sleep during those hours. I always figured that unless we were in the middle of vital repairs, I was better off if they were sleeping since nothing was getting damaged!
