Looking for advice on Mtn bike pedals
I'm looking to go clipless and want some good suggestions on what is a good low-cost pedal to use? I've browsed ebay and it seems like there are quite a few choices for under 40 bucks. I don't do any hardcore riding anymore so it will just be mild singletrac mostly. I want to be able to use shoes that are as comfortable as possible as i am very picky about how comfortable my shoes are and have poor circulation. When i did triathlons i always used toeclips/cleats and i've never ridden totally clipless before.

anyway.. ebay links or suggestions are welcome.

thanks!

The Shimano 545 (which uses a standard spd cleat, but has a platform, so you can still pedal even when you can't get clipped in quickly).

The Time ATAC pedals are my all time favorites (a bit of a platform to pedal with when you aren't clipped in, and NEVER get clogged with mud, etc.)

Speedplay Frogs are nice too (totally unique clipping mechanism, also clog free)

And last but not least, Crank Bros. Eggbeaters which use the same clipping mechanism as the Shimano pedals above, but have 4 sides that you can clip into so you can always get clipped in really quickly:

Dammit, now you have me wanting to spend money on a bike again, I haven't had one around for 2 years and I miss it.
