"Look for only positive traits in *"
For some strange reason I read the High School Headlines page in the local newspaper's Saturday edition. They cover the Christian schools, and this is the reportage from Victorious Academy:

Students have taken a good look at the lack of respect and negative attitude of others and have decided to look for only positive traits in President George W. Bush.

"I like President Bush because he isn't President Clinton," said Paul Dawson, a freshman. "I also think he has more Christian views, and most of all, he's taking action for the war between Iraq and the United States.

"I think he is a great president because he treats everyone with the same amount of respect," said Boris Elmore, a senior.

Nicholas Eaton said Bush has made a lot of allies.

Okay, so they're completely full of shit. Well, everyone except Nicholas Eaton, although "he allied almost every other nation in the world against us" probably isn't what he had in mind. But they're children--incredibly stupid children, but children nonetheless. Therefore, don't rip them apart for their fallacious ideas. Instead, let's gather today to look for some positive traits in Dubya. There have got to be some, past "he's not quite as bad as Adolf Hitler...yet" or "I bet he's lots of fun after a few grams of Peruvian marching powder."

I'll start: he's well-relaxed thanks to his annual month-long vacations.

2. Perspective (contains profanity)
Whether Bush's traits are positive or negative are a matter of perspective (or perhaps spin).

- "I don't need a permission slip to go to war."

Strong leadership, he will not allow America to be defenseless while others debate the appropriateness of action.

another way of looking at it: Fuck the U.N.

- "I make decisions based on what is right, not what the polls say"

Again, as a leader, he does what is ethical, even if it unpopular

another way of looking at it: Fuck what the majority wants.

For those who like Bush, he is proud, the rest of us see him as arrogant.
