I'm not sure whats on the greatest hits from this one... probably Roll on Down the Highway and You Aint Seen Nothing Yet. Every song on the album (the album is titled Not Fragile) should be though and it is well worth purchasing if you can find it.

Born to Run...

It was taking that wanderlust from the 50's that was lost when the Hippies took over and bringing it back to the mainstream. It also brought a sense of jubilation back into rock-n-roll that had been sorely missing.

And it just kicked compared to most of the other so called rock songs of that era.

Come on now, is there anything more rock-n-roll than "tramps like us, baby we were born to run..."

A song about misfits and freedom and escape and joy.

And a full band complete with Sax and organ and keyboards and a great riff...

No fucking synthesizers.
