Shiner Smokehaus

The little brewery in Shiner has a new "Sommer Bier," brewed with malt that has been smoked with mesquite. It's good stuff.

Anyone else enjoying a beer this nice summer evening?

1. That sounds pretty tasty - I don't ever see Shiner out here,

2. It's only been in the last year or so that I've been able to get it here

I missed it too after living for several years in Oklahoma, where it's always readily available :)

Then last summer they apparently expanded their market, and I could get it here in Illinois. :woohoo:

Maybe they'll push out to California soon :toast:

Hi,
Well that sounds interesting. How strong is the smokey flavor? I'm just having a few of my low end PBRs. Not sure if I can get that stuff here, but I will look for it.

The mesquite smoked flavor looks interesting.
