1. He could have worn his Willie Wonka costume.
(Passing the pink sheep in the Wonkavator) - "I don't want to talk about that room."

2. Helena Bonham Carter as the red queen look pretty cool too.
Weird that they've got both characters in the movie, though, as they're from two different books. the Mad Hatter is Alice in Wonderland, while the red and white queens are from Through the Looking Glass, which means they're probably trying to much both books into one movie, which means it'll probably suck.

6. From what I heard, this is more of a sequel to the two books.
Edited on Tue Jun-23-09 12:03 PM by DarkTirade
Alice has grown up and forgotten about the childish fantasies until she gets sucked back into them at the age of 17 or something like that.

Not too dissimilar from the premise of the videogame Alice that came out a few years back, but more colorful and less creepy. :P

10. The ending was an incredible letdown though.
After all that hard work... you get through to the end and... you get about 10 seconds of happy music and everybody lives happily ever after, ect. After that game, that was a big WTF. :P

13. I need to watch the ending of that one.
I've seen the first 3/4 or so, thought it was awesome. But never got to finish it. :(

23. Johnny Depp AND Helena Bonham-Carter, together in a Burton film?
That's a stretch.

But I bet it'll be pretty, at least.

5. After what he did to Planet of the Apes, I cringe to think of what Burton will do with 'Alice'

(It doesn't help that Lewis Carroll is one of my favorite writers and the Alice books are some of my favorite fiction)

17. If there's a role that Depp has taken that he didn't do well, I haven't seen it.
The man is phenomenal. When you add to that the fact that most women think that he is gorgeous, too, I think I hate him.

But he is one hell of a fine actor.
