On one of his shows in Northern Ireland, he encourages travelers who happen to be in Norther Ireland during marching season to experience an Orange Order parade.

What the fuck is wrong with you Rick?

That's like doing a travel show about the Deep South and encouraging travelers to experience a KKK rally!

1. I googled 'write to Rick Steves' because I thought you should tell him.
I found this article, which made me think his suggestion to observe an Orange Order parade was simply to have your own first hand experience. If I could be kind of invisible and watch a KKK rally, I think it would be interesting, but would further diminish my opinion of the human race, and I don't need that. That's why I don't watch TV news any more.
