Dogs at work does your employer allow them? I was at my husbands business last week painting my
soon to be assembled picket fence in his warehouse garage because I don't have space in ours, I knew he allowed people to bring dogs to work but it was quite funny watching all the dogs during the week as I primed and painted and watched the daily grind. It seemed to me that people really enjoyed the interactions with the dogs even if only briefly. I know they kept me company while I painted away. Is allowing dogs normal in a workplace, and what happens if someone does not like dogs I never really thought about this before.

1. We have a dog at work.....
he's a pretty good dog, quiet, keeps to himself, everyone loves him. When someone does come by that doesn't like dogs or is afraid of them, he usually ends up hanging out in my office until they leave.

3. There are children in my workspace. Some have allergies and some of them are appaling brats.
It would be a really, really bad idea, assuming anybody would be crazy enough to allow it.

4. My husband is crazy enough to allow it and it seems that no one has a problem with it. I asked him
about allergies and he said nobody has complained. It has a large warehouse space and the dogs generally hang out in that space.

5. We can't for liability reasons.
And honestly, with some of the kids we have around, I'd fear for the dogs.

6. There are no kids in the workplace most are younger males, he did hire an Afghan refugee
and he is the only one who doesn't like the dogs but he is able to put up with it.

7. I can see that being a problem.
Allowing pets could only be don't practically in a workplace that is large and open, and only has adults working there.

Closed in spaces, and kids, would be an automatic invitation for problems for exactly the reasons you name. :(

My uncle shares his office with his boss's Chihuahua. That dog loves him. It must be really nice in the places where it works out well. :)

8. Yes, as long as the proper forms have been signed proving that
shots are up to date.

9. we have more dogs than workers at my workplace
there are 3 humans, and 5 dogs. I am allowed to bring my furry kid to work, but when I tried, she didn't get along with one of my boss's dogs, so that put the kabosh on that. But my boss certainly invited my Libby to work. We love having the dogs around, and the dogs really enjoy being included in our work day. We look askance at any client that doesn't like our dogs!
