hey how do I find a woodworker?
I knocked a shadowbox off the wall even though the glass pane survived, the frame of the door shattered and splintered - this box is not pricey but has sentimental value and I'd like it repaired - where do I go to find such a person?

That was my first thought, as well. (Now I have to be quiet for a while, since my snortle disturbed the wife and cat...)

4. Sit on the porch and try to whittle.
But do it with the dull end of the knife, until someone approaches you to show you proper whittling technique - then hire that person.

10. Antique restoration specialist.
While your item may not be an antique, they're craftsmen and will either do it with care or point you to someone who will.
