That creeps me out.

14. actually
it was originally pretty dry and cured to keep - and that was before refrigeration. Nowadays it is so full of liquids that it does need to be kept cold so this weird stuff might actually be less full of garbage. I'm not paying ~ $20/lb to find out, though.

11. If I could find it in a store,
I'd buy a few cans to have on hand. It just makes sense. And, I'll bet it's not bad.

Of course, there is always:

17. there are only 12 cans in a case - I think you should order one
and let us know how it is, then you could sell the extras - or donate them to DU for the next big fundraiser/givaway!

5. Here's the fancy version:
http://www.omahasteaks.com/servlet/browse/sku/177

I've had it, and, forgive me, but it's not bad. When you're weary and you want something like a BLT, this stuff is a lifesaver.

I should get some more, come to think of it ...................

10. Big cardboard box,
and inside, layers of cooked bacon, ten to a layer, separated by sheets of waxed paper, the whole thing in a thin plastic covering. Nothing terribly offensive. All frozen.

It's pretty good. But I'm a fan of Omaha Steaks, and we have an OUTLET STORE nearby! Lots of stuff at deeply discounted prices without their insane shipping costs.................

12. Speaking of bacon, this stuff is surprisingly good.

My friend and I decided that it's pretty awesome on popcorn. At least when you're too drunk to go to sleep, which we were when we invented that particular treat.

16. I want to get some of that.
My go-to for potlucks is a big pot of beans. When vegetarian/vegans might attend I skip the bacon/ham, but to me they are a tad bland, so that might do the trick.

bacon popcorn, hmmm the crunch, the flavor - mught be the perfect substitute - try it with tomato and lettuce on toast!
