How are you today. It is already Friday. Boy, the week sure passed by fast. Do you have any plans for the weekend? Me? I will be home, preparing for the visit of my grandma and her brother next Friday. Need to clean and get stuff put away. So that will be my weekend. Of course I will go groceries shopping as well and will relax and sleep. The weather is supposed to be not so nice. So I won't go out much probably.

Very good picture by the way, my wifes flowers/garden is REALLY starting to take off, most of her tulips/bulb plants are blooming all ready, and our tomatoes/watermelon are doing great.

My sister is coming up to visit for Mother's Day, and to celebrate her birthday. That means the house will be full of family all weekend.

My brother, her and I. Her sister stays here to be with her while we're at work, and we have nurses come in the morning and the evening to help her dress and get her meds.

It is rainy here too. And warm. Therefor it is sticky weather.

Moving is never fun, no matter how old you are. I am glad I let movers do my last move. I had enough to do with the packing and renovating the new condo (with big help).

Is that a current shot, your azaleas blooming already? Seems kind of early in the year, but then, what do I know about German springs? (Nothing!)

NO real plans for the weekend. Going to try for some photo group "historic register" shots, having a dreaded talk with the ex, sending out resumes and volunteering with our local library. Weather looks good, so maybe a hike thrown in there, too.

26. I do shelving for them.

I really want a job working in a library, thought if I volunteered with them maybe it would give me an in. Of course, the second I started the city announced a hiring freeze for all city jobs due the poor economy, but there's always hope for the future! In the meantime, I love shelving, I love the librarians and professional shelvers at my branch, and I love being surrounded by books, so... still there!

Taking the photos will be my relaxing time. :)

beside the titles computerized. But our computer catalog is still messy so it helps to have the cards. Sometimes it is easier to look through the cards to one topic instead of searching the OPAC.

I miss azaleas. They don't grow here in Denver, it's either too dry or the altitude gets them. But the house I grew up in had huge banks of them lining the house. I used to build some cool forts under those azalea bushes!

This week really did go by quickly!

Little MB performed in a couple of musical pieces at her school last night for the "ice cream social". We had free ice cream sundaes, and got to walk around the school afterwards and meet with teachers. Her teacher told me she has a very stubborn streak. I wonder where she gets that from :dilemma:

My weekend is full of girly activities..... Little MB and I will go shopping tonight for her spring/summer clothing. She is really growing out of everything right now.

Tomorrow Mrs. Distressed American and Little DA are coming to spend the night with me. DA is out of town for a couple of days, so she is going to bring their dog and come hang out with me. It's supposed to rain, but I know the little ones will have a good time. They love being together, and I haven't spent much time with my dear friend lately because we have all been running around.

Then Sunday, Little MB and I will drive 2 hours to my aunt's house for Mother's Day with my family. I am looking forward to seeing my Dad!!!

Phew - all that in two days!!! I am looking forward to NEXT weekend - All I have planned is an appointment to get my hair done. Then the weekend after that .....

yep, we have the Bundestag election in Septemer. Nothing too interesting. I won't vote for Merkel, that is for sure. After months of a big plus for CDU and FDP the SPD and Die Grünen are coming back. It will be an interesting election again, that is for sure. I wouldn't mind having Steinmeier as our Chancellor.

Had a long night last night--not in a good way. My father fell on the back deck last night while mom was gone and broke his leg. Spend most of the night driving mom to and sitting in the ER. His condition is stable, though he's in pain. The surgeons will evaluate the x-rays this morning and see what they'll do next. :(
