Anybody remember Donkey Kong Country?
I downloaded it on the Virtual Console in order to make myself feel better after the 'Mist' debacle. I got 'Punch-Out!' 'Ninja Gaiden' and 'Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past' as well, but I had forgotten how friggin awesome DKC is. It looked amazing (still looks amazing) and has some of the best music in a game ever. Don't believe me? Check out these examples:

Just wanted to share something that made me happy as a kid, and continues to make me happy. :)

1. I think so.
It has the girl cousin Diddy, right? I still have it with my Super Nintendo that's packed away. They go from island to island. I loved all of the Donkey Kong games.

3. Diddy's a boy. The girl cousin Daisy appears in the sequel...
which is also awesome.

5. Yeah, but certain games I like to have on a console.
To play with a controller.
I won't get a whole bunch, but there is a neat handful that demands it.

7. I have a Logitech controller, worked fine when I had ZSNES set up before.
Haven't reinstalled it since my harddrive crash last week though.

9. See, I didn't have a console growing up. I only got to play at friends' houses.
So for me the nostalgia is mostly centered around hanging out, eating pizza, and playing those kinds of games. :P
