2. What's on?
I'm listening to Groove Salad on Shoutcast.

That looks like a weimaraner there. All arms and legs.

I hope tonight ends much nicer than last night. :hi:

3. What's Shoutcast? Please tell me!
Yes, one is a weim and the other is a shelter dog mix of golden/husky. ;-) I'm very lucky to have them. Thanks for your note! ;-)

4. Shoutcast is free internet radio
Something like 600 or so stations of every genre. No commercials. Here's the address:
http://www.shoutcast.com/genre/Downtempo
That'll take you to the the Downtempo page, which Shoutcast has as a sub-genre of Electronic along with a dozen other sub-genres like Trance, Ambient, etc.

You'll see the stations listed there. If you want to listen, click "tune-in", if you want to go the station website (most have playlists, so if you heard something good you can identify it), click the station name. To the right of the name, the bitrate is listed. If you have a decent internet connection choose stations with 128kbps.

On the page you'll be looking at, right in the middle there's a grey drop-down box that says "downtempo". Hit the arrow there and all the genre choices will appear and each one of them can be opened to show all the sub-genres. You can find pretty much anything you're into. Click on the sub-genre and you'll go to the page with all those type of stations.

Shoutcast is great. So is http://www.radioenigma.com /. MrScorpio actually does a show there Thursday nights. http://www.radioparadise.com / is also really good. Pandora radio is definitely worth checking out, it's unique in that over time you can customize your own stations. They can explain it better than I can and it's worth checking out. It's at http://www.pandora.com /.

I've never had XM or Sirius but they sound very similar to these internet stations. No commercials and a wide variety of choices. XM might even be superior, I don't know.

There's so much music out there. I never realized how much till I started listening to internet radio about 9 years ago.

Anyway, there you go. Happy listening and peaceful dreams. :hi:

5. Mr. Scorpio! Yes, I've accessed his casts via links. I love that stuff!
My brothers have gotten me into XM recently--one of them bought and sent me the equipment, and the other one--an electronics nerd--is currently advising me as to how to wire my car.

I love music and had a monstrous day yesterday. It's amazing that my dogs danced around with me when they heard the music. I need to get them out tomorrow. (They're crashed on the futon and at my feet now, but if I go into the living room where the music is, they'll jump around again!)

I've found some amazing musicians online, and I've downloaded some of their music. I just can't live without music and dogs. It has always been that way.

Thank you, sweetie. Thanks so much. I anticipate a peaceful sleep tonight.
