1. Way to spout the "official" line, Komrade.
You and your sheep friend probably think we still live in a Democracy run by Mommie's version of the Easter Bunny, too, don't you? Oh sure, our government is friendly and cares for you, so they tell you to wash your hands, just like Daddy Sheep, right? Mommy Guvvie wuvs her wittle sheepie weepie...

WAKE UP, ZOMBIES! SLAY THE PRAVDA MASTERS! Nothing they do is for you. They own the water companies. And the paper towl companies, and the soap companies. Hell, they own the companies who make the dispensers and those useless hand blowers, too. You know, the ones where they give you a hand job and blow job at the same time, like some cheap hooker trying to steal your wallet?

It's a scam, SHEEPLE!! Quit bleating to their tune! Don't wash your hands. Every drop of anti-bacterial soap you wash down the drain is just another link in the chain. Let me repeat that, Johnny Cochrane. Every drop of soap you wash down the drain is just another link in the chain!!

Fight the real evil.

2. what's the saying... "you can't cure stupid"...? I have never been
as militant about cleanliness as it seemed I was supposed to be (women, especially new mothers, can be ridiculously and absurdly competitive with hygiene/safety and the achievement of their kids. I remember going to the town park with my baby daughter (in diapers) and meeting a woman who's daughter was toilet trained at an impossibly early age. All I could think of was what that kid had to have gone through. (Shudder... oh, heck maybe she was just unique. Hope so).

BUT - I wash my hands a lot, not from a sense of diligent cleanliness, but because I paint and get messy, sometimes with pretty serious/dangerous materials. And I fly a lot, which always makes me feel grubby, so I end up washing up frequently.

I've come to appreciate these habits because I haven't been sick with a cold or flu in years. Then again, I attribute some of this to the fact that I was not shielded from every and all germs as a kid, and built up a hearty immunity along the way.

I have other annoying health problems, but catching germies from others (even when exposed) hasn't been one of them. Washing my hands frequently is one of the main reasons.
