2 attackers go after 84 year old WW2 vet, one leaves with balls kicked in.

TACOMA, Wash. -- Ted Mazetier may be a grandfather, but at 84 years old, he's still got his chops.

And two men learned that the hard way.

Mazetier was driving down South Proctor Street Wednesday night when he spotted a car on the curb and two guys standing nearby. He thought they needed help, so he stopped.

But as soon as he pulled over, the two men pounced.

"The guy comes over to my car, and unfortunately my window was open, because he cold-cocked me. I mean, just sucker-punched me. Just bam!" Mazetier said.

The punch left quite a shiner on Mazetier.

"It hurts. It hurts right now," he said.

But he wasn't about to take a beating sitting down.

You see, Mazetier is a World War II veteran who also happened to spend his entire career watching over criminals imprisoned in the U.S. penal system. In short, he can handle trouble.

"When I opened the door, he started toward me and I kicked him in the balls," he said.

When the other man charged, Mazetier put his feet up and kicked him in the belly.

"He kind of bent a little and went down. And I went around the guy and I'm in the street, and I'm waving for cars to stop and, you know, help."

The two men fled, not having gotten whatever they were looking for.

Assholes are taking advantage of people who are willing to help. If more people did that then nobody would ever risk helping other people. x(

Shit like that kills the good instincts in people, all because a couple of assholes are out to cause trouble.

They deserved to get their asses kicked. I hope they enjoy some time in jail for it too. I imagine they'll be respected by everyone when word gets around that an old man kicked their asses. :P

8. Reminds me of a janitor I knew ...

He was a WWII vet also and spent his waning years as a janitor at the university I attended, second and third floors, humanities building.

Name was Ralph, for which he took a good deal of ribbing combined with his job. Cool guy. He had great stories.

Anyway, there was this idiot around town everyone called Crazy Harry. Harry fancied himself a badass, especially with young girls and old people. He was arrested on a consistent basis, but he always managed to get out. His mother and father were "well connected" people.

One day Ralph was attempting to pick on a young lady walking the halls at the university late in the evening and passed by Ralph as he was doing so. Ralph interrupted his pursuit, so Harry turned on him and decided he was going to shove Ralph down the stairs.

What Harry didn't realize is that when you've spent years in the Marines and then spend a number of other years pushing a mop, the combination gives you several ideas and a lot of practice in ways to use a mop handle.

I only wish I could say Harry left the building with it firmly implanted in his ass. He did leave with a broken jaw, and Ralph got a new mop.

Harry was the guest of the county for awhile. His fellow prisoners, from all accounts, didn't like him much either.

Anyway ... awesome story.
