there is no underwear in space!

“George Lucas ruined my life,” Ms. Fisher says, which doesn’t seem entirely fair. On the other hand, in a book full of weirdos, he emerges as possibly the strangest of all. He wouldn’t let Ms. Fisher wear a bra under her Princess Leia shift because, as he patiently explained to her, there is no underwear in space: according to Lucas-physics, if you were to wear a bra in a weightless environment, your bra would strangle you.

1. By that reckoning, wearing a jock strap in space would choke your chicken for you.
"Houston, we have lift off.... YES!!!"

2. Looks like he banned panties too!
That was before thongs were popular.

Besides, they ALWAYS were in a gravity environment, even on the Falcon! And I think she fails the pencil test.

6. You're going to rely on the Falcon's artificial gravity?
That hunk of junk? And when, not if, it does fail, you will be immediately attacked by your own underwear! And then where will you be? Your lightsabers are no match for lycra/spandex!

7. Yeah, that's probably why Chewy didn't wear any.
Not that you could tell under all of that fur.

8. Interesting point.
I had heard Leia's breasts popped out of her space bra in less than six parsecs.
