Luckily we are charging the whole thing off on the people by having me go to some stupid manufacturing place in Cleveland for 10 minutes and giving some speech to women...man I miss the fun old days when I got to meet all my friends and they payed to have me around...it was sorta like the frat house only I get all the money now......

I can't really think of anything clever, but I saw someone complain to Bush about lost jobs on TV recently and became slightly flustered and said "well, we have to retrain for jobs in the new economy" or some crap.

This is what we've been hearing for many years regarding the manufacturing jobs going to Mexico or China. "Learn computers" or something like that. Except that's what I do - I am at senior level, and these jobs are flying out to India and places like that. And lots of my friends say call centers, financial back office work and so forth is leaving as well. And what do we here regarding this new phenomenom, of white collar jobs leaving? The same old refrain - "retrain". Retrain for what? We were told computers were the future, what do you suggest we retrain for now, Mr. Bush?
