I played for Bernadette Peters' show this weekend...

She is fabulousness personified. And she's such a little thing...I had always pictured her as statuesque. I guess it's because her personality is so enormous!

One hell of a singer, actress and show-woman. I suspect that the only reason she's not a mega star because she spent the overwhelming majority of her career on the stage.

I think she's into it for the art more than the acclaim, though she accepts recognition gracefully.

She's not hurting financially. And those who go to see her are doing so because she's a wonderful entertainer...not because it's on the Top 40 To Do List.
