Poll question: The Album that most Epitomized the Alternative/Grunge Movement in the early to mid 90s?
Edited on Fri Apr-17-09 08:36 PM by Mike 03
Unfortunately, I know I'm leaving out many great albums and even entire bands like Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and Babes in Toyland. But there are only ten slots.

One thing is for certain: It was an amazing moment in music history and the most exciting time of life, so far.

Please feel free to add yours.

ON EDIT: In good conscience I had to substitute LAST SPLASH by the Breeders for "Other," and just trust you to please post your "Other" if you have one.

Gotta admit: The Breeders deserve a slot.

1. I voted for Belly cause I love Tonya, but I think Pearl Jam's Ten was a great album too

5. You are right, that was an incredible album that deserved a slot.
I also loved "Vitology" (spelling?)

Great band. We need about twenty slots on these polls. Ten is not enough.

Because to me, they kicked grunge off.

I think Alternative is a totally different genre.

6. Pearl Jam's "Ten" deserves to be on this list
I don't know if i would consider the Breeders grunge, and Sonic Youth predates the grunge hype by a decade.

7. Considering Pearl Jam came before Nirvana, why are they left off this poll?
