I've been going back and forth on whether it is a truly funny show or not, since the comedy is dumb, random and irreverent, and they throw a LOT of stuff on the wall, hoping it will stick...But the more I see of it the more I can appreciate the way they are breaking new ground...I personally believe people a generation from now will see how visionary this brand of humor was...

1. The Josh Groban thing they did recently was great.

I'm very behind on watching Tim & Eric (I've only seen the first season), but a friend of mine sent me a link to a video of Josh Groban's recent appearance on the show. While I still think his music is crap, I have a lot more respect for him as a person. Clearly, he doesn't take himself too seriously.

2. I've been a fan for a few years now

Most people who have seen it either love it or hate it. It's like freeform jazz but with sketch comedy. I recommend people try a few episodes before passing judgement. Just one show won't give you the scope.

what really makes the segment work is the worn sound/video quality..."Chan" was the first episode when I finally started to 'get' Tim and Eric...Since then I've tried to watch every episode...
