After seeing "I love you, man" I have a real question.
How does a guy find other guy friends? I know it's a comedy, but it really hit me hard when I realized how all of my college friendships have slowly melted away. . .

1. Activities
You have to sign up for things that interest you.

Sports, politics, community theatre -- whatever.

I had a big dry spell in my early thirties, but I met a lot of people with common interests by going out and doing things with my free time.

Make time for you, brother!

6. I agree on the activities.
Men are very activity-oriented. They meet to go bowling, get together to play poker, get a foursome for golf. It's pretty rare for men to meet without some sort of activity involved.

2. Work and hobbies
Making and maintaining friendships as an adult seems much harder (for me anyway). I've come to the conclusion that I'm not a good friend. I wish I was, but work and family is a full plate for me already and I find it hard to do all the stuff that friends want me to do on a weekly or monthly basis. I'm there for the big things, but I don't have the bandwidth to meet the small demands. It sucks.

7. Activities is pretty much how we meet people in general.
Find people who are into at least one thing you like doing, you have an excuse to hang out and do it.

8. You damn sissy!
Everyone knows that guys get guy friends by starting fights with random people in bars while drunk. After exchanging black eyes and getting kicked out of the current bar, you go to another bar, make up, and get even drunker.

9. i would say this is closer to the truth, every real close friend i have
became my friend whilst serving in the army, or breaking heads in the jail. i meet aquaintances all the time, but until someone bleeds with or for you i dont think guys bond that well.

My only best male friends right now are my sisters' boyfriends.

They are great male friends, but it's not always the case that one's girlfriends' boyfriends are good guys.

I'm just lucky right now.

It wsa much easier and better to find guy friends when I was in college or had friends in college classes.

Now it's very hard, and I basically am alone.

On Edit:

Volunteerism. When I lived in Los Angeles, and volunteered, I did meet more people. If you live near a city or big town, that is a good way to meet people.
