What song do you love, but rarely hear played on the radio?
I just enjoyed the three-minutes plus of INXS' "Make Time Stop". I LOVE that song. (It was popular when I met and married my DH.) The other song I'd have to mention is "Valentine," which I believe was recorded by Nils Lofgren and Bruce Springsteen.

What song do you just love, don't own in your CD collection, and enjoy heartily everytime you happen to hear it?

Julie

1. "seems like a Mighty Long Time" by an unidentified female soulster...
I LOVE that song, but can't find out who did it.

Plus, there's also EVERY AC/Dc song I've ever heard. I don't own any AC/DC albums, but I'm happier than a sh*thouse mouse whenever I hear one of their tunes on the radio.

3. "Are You Strong Enough?" by Sheryl Crowe.
I love that song, and the radio stations around here rarely play it. She's backed by The Dixie Chicks (YOWZA!) and the lyrics and delivery are so full of pain. It's incredibly moving.

16. I would love to hear that one played on commercial radio some time!
Talk about giving the geezers a massive stroke:

"Too Drunk To Fuck"

Went to a party
I danced all night
I drank sixteen beers
And I started up a fight

But now I am jaded
You're out of luck
I'm rolling down the stairs
Too drunk to fuck

Too drunk to fuck
Too drunk to fuck
Too drunk, to fuck
I'm too drunk, too drunk, too drunk
To fuck

I like your stories
I love your gun
Shooting out truck tires
Sounds like loads and loads of fun

But in my room
Wish you were dead
You bawl like the baby
In Eraserhead

Too drunk to fuck
Too drunk to fuck
Too drunk, to fuck
It's all I need right now
Too drunk to fuck

Too drunk to fuck
Too drunk to fuck
Too drunk, to fuck
I'm sick soft gooey and cold
Too drunk to fuck

I'm about to drop
My head's a mess
The only salvation is
I'll never see you again

You give me head
That makes it worse
Take out your fuckin' retainer
Put it in your purse

I'm too drunk to fuck
You're to drunk to fuck
Too drunk to fuck
It's all I need right now Oh baby
I'm melting like an ice cream bar
Oh baby

And now I got diarrhea
Too drunk to fuck
Yeah, Yeah
Yeah, Yeah
Yeah, Yeah
Oooohhh

37. The DJs suck....they're all students with horrible Texan accents
and no radio voices yet that can't read very well, but the music makes me happy. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

Thanks! I like my screen name too!

13. 103.9 The Eagle
in Colorado Springs plays that song almost every day. Once again proving that it's the best radio station in the universe, except that it's owned by Crap Channel. Oh well, that doesn't prevent them from playing "Peace Train" and "War". Rock on my liberal pals.

About 2 1/2 minutes of proto-speed metal, ending with a nuclear explosion.
